Kevin McNeilly is an Associate Professor in the Department of English at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. He teaches contemporary literatures in English, especially Canadian, American, British and Irish poetry, as well as interdisciplinary and Cultural Studies. His research interests include poetry and poetics, improvisation, listening and media. He is a researcher with the Improvisation, Community and Social Practice research initiative, as well as a member of the International Institute for Critical Studies in Improvisation. His book of poems is Embouchure (Nightwood Editions, 2011).
